Hello from Sew Southern Quilts- ETSY

With a renewed enthusiasm and a never ending love of country quilts I have decided to restock my ETSY shop this July;  Sew Southern Quilts.

So, where have I been?
Playing, working, enjoying life and family and of course QUILTING .... I am really proud to say I am a member of  Cumberland County Quilts of Valor and I belong to local groups who are so generous with their time and talents. We work on our own projects but making and donating quilts for community projects is just something quilters find time to do. Here are a few of my most recent QOV quilts... almost finished.

My favorite quilts include traditionally-inspired patchwork designs, especially when combined with appliqué. I have discovered Primitive Quilts and Project magazine and I have to admit, this was my inspiration to bring new life to my shop. With so many ideas and patterns at my finger tips how can I say no. It is a rare occasion when I follow a pattern, any pattern for that matter. I just can not color within the lines I guess. I see something I love but for some reason I have to make it my own with a change in color, size or design.

Kim Diehl is one of my favorite designers, her patterns and books are amazing. Edyta Sitar for Laundry Basket Quilts and Mary Etherington and Connie Tesene, The Blue and the Gray; Oh and I can not forget about  The Red Button Quilt Co . You will see new items in my shop using all these designers as well Lisa Bongean for inspiration. If you like warm and cozy colors and traditional quilts then I may have something for you in my shop. Stop in and take a look around, I hope to be up to speed by July.
