Lots of work to do.Spring is here and Mothers Day is right around the corner...

Believe it or not all these little squares and bricks will become something very soon. My husband made 6 more quilt stands so I have some work to do. Thanks to Bonnie Hunter and her Leaders & Enders book I now have tubs full of scraps.  (I met her in Kansas City, KS and loved her scrappy quilts. She loves to share what she does and is so personable)

Looking through some of my magazines and books for inspiration or even a pattern I could use for spring; I found this one. I made it a year or so ago and loved it. I think I will do something different this time; hmm maybe a “Welcome” door banner.

New Spring Project - Not for me but I started it!!

Mr. knows I am notorious for starting projects that he has to finish. So when he left for breakaway (building trail with TTA here in TN)  he asked (begged) me not start a project "he" had to finish when he came home. I really wanted to surprise him...... but....I had good intentions. All I did was move all the rock onto the grass where I wanted a patio to show him what it would look like.  Then I left it there and it killed the grass... oh boy. He came home and just smiled. I love that man.

I had to move the rock TWICE now so "he" could excavate the site and prep it for the patio.

I'm pretty sure I'll have to lay the rock when the site is ready. I think he is teaching me a lesson.
(he was a big help moving it or else it would still be on the grass) I told him he has a UFO now. We quilters have lots of UFO's. (UnFinished Objects) He reminded me it was my UFO. Oh boy!

Mug Rug Class Friday and Saturday

I taught a mug rug class Friday and Saturday at a local quilt shop in Monterey, TN. We had a great time and everyone left with a completed mug rug and a mug to go with it.

If you are in the area stop by Loretta's Sewin' Room off I-40, exit 300. She has a wonderful little shop full of beautiful fabrics and kits. Make sure to stop in Mountain Laurel Craft room within Loretta's shop. There you will find find quilts, primitives, wall hangings and purses. see the link below.http://mountainlaurelcrafts.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html
